Sofa Vassilieva might be back on TV sooner than we thought. Medium wasn’t supposed to be back on TV again until the start of next year but things have changed. NBC has ordered more scripts of the show so it would only be a minor extension of the season. You have to wonder about Medium really, the show has been on the verge of being canceled for years now yet it always comes back.

However according to a report on The Hollywood Reporter the production of Medium was told to be ready earlier than planned. That would suggest that one of the current shows isn’t living up to expectations and might be replaced even before the shows take a break for the holidays. If I had to guess it would be for Knight Rider seeing that show plainly sucks.

Who knows; it also might give NBC pilots that were rejected at first another chance. I hope Kay Panabaker kept her schedule open.

A while ago I raised the question whether Sofia Vassilieva actually went bald for My Sisters Keeper or not. After that I pretty much forgot about until today when I saw recent event pics on sofia-vassilieva.net.

She actually did shave her head which is quite a shocking look seeing she’s growing back a little stubble now. I wonder how they’re going to sort that one once they start shooting Medium again.

Makes you wonder if the rumors about Dakota Fanning refusing the role because she wasn’t prepared to do it is actually true. Though that’s something we won’t know unless Dakota would talk about it. Not that going bald is such an odd thing to do, Natalie Portman has done it, Demi Moore has done it and several others as well. I wouldn’t say that makes her a great actress quite yet it just shows she’s prepared to do quite a lot.

Sometimes you have to wonder who of the current young stars will have long careers; who are the stars that will still be around in twenty years or so. I would have to point out that it’s something that is impossible to predict, you can’t know what will be popular in twenty years and what won’t. Who knows whether things like TV or movies will still be a major thing, it’s even hard to predict how things will be in a year. Yet I’m going to say who of the current generation of under eighteen female celebrities will have a long career and will be still be big names in 2028. It’s mainly based on gut feeling about their talents, so it’s just my opinion and nothing more.

The hard thing about it is also that a lot of actresses and singers don’t have their breakthrough until at a later age, being a child or teen star isn’t a guarantee to being successful in the future. Someone who’s a complete nobody now can be the big thing in twenty years time, that really is something that is impossible to predict. That’s why I’m sticking to the teen stars that are the big thing right now, I’ll only name the people I’m really confident in that they will make it. The last couple of days pictures from the set of My Sister’s Keeper have been showing up; that’s the movie starring Cameron Diaz, Abigail Breslin and Sofia Vassilieva. The question now is; did Cameron and Sofia shave their head? The reason for them being bald is that the character of Sofia is suffering from cancer and her mother Diaz shaving her head out to support her daughter. Abigail doesn’t need a bald head for the movie.

On the question of Cameron it’s a no, she didn’t. It has confirmed that she’s wearing a bald cap. The fact that there aren’t any fake lines showing doesn’t mean anything seeing the level make up is at these days. As for Sofia, I do not know for certain but I cannot imagine that Sofia actually shaved off her blonde locks. I think that it’s a bald cap as well, it would be easier to prove if there were candid pictures of Sofia not on set but there aren’t. The paparazzi aren’t interested in her though that’s probably a good thing. I just think it’s a bald cap because her head looks just a little bit too big, impressive what they can do with make up really.

The having to shave her head was supposed to be the reason why Dakota Fanning backed out of the movie; taking little sister Elle with her. So I don’t think it was the shaving, so it was either because Dakota didn’t want to look like that on screen or there were simply other issues. We just don’t know.

I just have to point out that the bald look isn’t a good one for either Sofia or Cameron.
