Not really the news we normally report on but we did report that Jamie Lynn Spears was pregnant so we’re also going to post the end result. Jamie Lynn has now given birth and wee can report it’s a girl and according to People she’ll be called Maddie Briann.

A lot of things have been said about the privacy of celebrities, the main thing about it is that they simply have none. Which is a sad thing really but also something every celebrity knows before they go into the business. They know that paparazzi are always around and that every single thing they do is put under a microscope. However times do change, where it was possible for some celebrities to have a bit of a private life in the past those days seem to have completely passed.
I’m fully aware of the fact that sites like this one contribute to the lack of privacy, I won’t suggarcoat it, though I don’t see the point in reporting on their daily activities like some other sites do. The internet is what changed the privacy of celebrities considerably though, things are reported the very same day while in the past it went through the slower media outlets TV or even slower the tabloids. In the case of those media selections were made, things not deemed important enough were simply ignored. These days it doesn’t matter, even the small things are reported. I also think that the many websites on the internet have also caused a growth in the number of paparazzi looking for the next prize shot.
People will mainly think about people like Britney Spears and to a lesser extent Lindsay Lohan who are being followed around by an entire armada of paparazzi. I always thought it was a matter of supply and demand, the supply of Britney and Lindsay pictures must be enormous but still paparazzi get paid a lot for them. The pressure on them from the media is enormous, but you also shouldn’t forget that they didn’t have that much media pressure on them when they were younger.

The thing with the internet is that things seem to leak far easier than in the pre-internet age; all the sorts of sex videos are probably the best examples. That in itself isn’t a strange thing, it’s just far more accessible. What me bugs me lately is that leaked things get blown out of proportion to the extreme.
Best known example of the year probably are the naked pictures of Vanessa Hudgens; to a lot of people it seemed to be a big deal. A lot of people seemed to think that she would get fired by Disney for no longer reflecting the Disney image. This of course didn’t happen because Disney is a business and in the long run a business won’t care about something that will only be a vague memory a year from now.
Of course the images were never supposed to see the light of day; they’re personal. So why does it make a scandal if they’re leaked? Just because she works for Disney? There probably are naked pictures of hundreds of celebrities out there we just don’t see them. It’s not like no one has never seen a naked person before.
Last month Hollywood Reporter put out a list called Showbiz Kids Top 25, it’s a bit slow regarding news right now so lets take a look at the list. Hollywood Reporter is a serious publication so there is some merit to their opinions. Hollywood Reporter pretty much made a list of people active in Hollywood seventeen and under who they think have the biggest chance of making it big in Hollywood in the long run. The focus of this site is the female generation in Hollywood so I’m just going to highlight those in the list.

In general there aren’t any real shockers in that list though I didn’t know some of the names. I can’t know everyone in Hollywood after all, it shows that the list was made before all of the Jamie Lynn pregnancy stuff, I doubt they would have put her on the list if it had be known before that. The top five is pretty much a shoe in on the list so there’s just not a lot I can say about this list, Hollywood Reporter did their homework. Not that I doubted them in that regard, they serve as a valuable news source to this site.
In an interview with OK Magazine Jamie Lynn Spears has announced that she’s twelve weeks pregnant. The father of the child is her boyfriend Casey Aldridge. This is real and it’s not the work of an aspiring photoshop artist like with another teen celebrity earlier this year.
There were rumours about a pregnancy surround Jamie Lynn earlier this year but that never really got that much press. Now she actually is pregnant; even her older sister Britney didn’t get pregnant at sixteen and she hasn’t exactly been the best example of good parenting.
There was speculation on whether Jamie Lynn would be returning to her Nickelodeon show Zoey 101; I guess we can be pretty sure that she won’t be returning now. Even though Nickelodeon issued a supportive press release I cannot imagine that they want their sweet girl Zoey to show up at PCA with a big tummy.
The way this thing was released is a bit strange though; she chose to reveal it to a big magazine before releasing it anywhere else. Apparently she did tell her parents but reports are that Britney had to hear about this through the press. I can’t imagine that this will go over well with the family in general, the Spears family has had quite a lot of bad press over the past couple of years. Not really surprisingly Jamie Lynn’s mother; Lynn Spears has delayed her book on parenting that was set to be released in 2008.
I’m not really sure what to say about this; of course Jamie Lynn should have been more careful but that’s an easy to thing to say from the outside. One thing is certain though, it’s not the kids fault so we’re hoping that it will be a healthy and happy baby.
