Another Strike?
There might be another strike coming; after the WGA (Writers Guild of America) strike which lasted several months now the SAG (Screen Actors Guild) might be going on strike. The issues are pretty much the same as with the WGA, the SAG wants more money for online content and DVD residuals than the AMPTP. They were talking but talks have broken down.
So what would this mean? It would petty much mean that production on all movies would stop. Without actors you can’t make a movie. The existing deal doesn’t run out until June though, so lets just hope that the SAG and AMPTP will return to the table and can work out a deal.
P.S. the SAG isn’t the only Guild for actors, there’s a second one named AFTRA. The AMPTP and AFTRA just started talks.
